I wanted to stop and take time to let you know how impressed I was when I had my Tacoma pickup in Certified's transmission shop in Overland Park. I had taken it to another shop and they quickly informed me that I needed a new transmission to fix my problem. My wife had seen Certified Transmission's ads on TV and liked the idea of a father and daughter business, having just sold a family-owned business. I was very impressed as soon as I walked in. The shop was clean and the service adviser was very professional and seemed to care about the transmission problem I was having. Early the next morning I received a call saying that If I would allow them a couple more hours, a transmission specialist would like to do some research on the vehicle. I received a call about two hours later saying that I did not need a new transmission and with what Jerry had found on the Toyota website, he recommended I take it to Toyota and have them upgrade the software that works with the transmission and drivetrain. My charge was about $200 for a full service including pulling and replacing the pan. Toyota was a little surprised that I had received the information so correctly from another competitor. Without this information, I feel I would have been told again that the issue was a major one. One day later, they called to tell me my truck was ready and there would not be a charge. Please let your transmission specialists know that I was very thankful and will recommend Certified Transmission to whomever I hear has issues with their car or truck. I will also use you for the trucks and cars that I use in my company.
